Upward Basketball
First Baptist Church in Phenix City is offering
Upward Basketball for the 10th consecutive year.
It is open to boys and girls in
kindergarten through 8th grade. The Upward Basketball program
promotes character and self-esteem in every child by providing equal playing
time for every player and separate leagues for boys and girls. The program
consists of a one-hour practice and game each week of the season along with an
evaluation process to provide equal opportunity for improvement. In
Upward, players are divided according to ability to create equal teams. In
this league, you won’t see one team with all of the best players dominating the
other
Each player will receive a reversible
jersey, t-shirt, Winner Magazine, car magnet and an end of season award.
The cost per child is $50.00. Basketball shorts are available and are
optional at a cost of $12. Deadline for registration this year is Monday,
October 27. Practices will begin Thursday, November 23. The first
game will be Monday, January 5. For more information or to sign up, please

Registration is open NOW! Please drop off
the registration form at the church office anytime between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM,
Monday through Thursday.
